Timeless Gifts and a Big Box of Reason

The holiday rush is upon us and the busyness of year end responsibilities can compound the stresses of an already hectic season.  Keep the true spirit of Christmas alive by sharing a few of these timeless gifts.

1.  Peace.  Steady nerves and relieve anxiety by remaining calm  in the face of holiday chaos.  Refuse to let stress or circumstances dictate your mood.  Maintain your cool and others will inhale your sense of peace for a deeper breath of their own.

2.  Hope.  Life doesn’t always look like a picture perfect Hallmark card.  Find someone with the holiday blues and offer a smile, a simple word of encouragement, or the opportunity to share heartfelt conversation over a cup of coffee.

3.  Joy.  Put down the smartphone and get lost in the joy of the present.  Savor a moment, dream like a child, and spread a healthy dose of holiday cheer.

4.  Reason.  When the packages are all wrapped and waiting beneath the tree, be sure to give thanks for the big box of Reason that serves as the source of all peace, hope and joy… Jesus is THE Reason for the Season.

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given…

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
