Success Story: The Strongest Bridge

The team began the event with eager plans to “build the strongest bridge.”  Using the knowledge gained in recent lectures, they worked well as a team, effectively leveraging the individual strengths of each person and practicing their newly acquired problem solving skills.  As their engineering marvel came together, their hopes quickly faded when they learned that their bridge was nearly an inch shorter than the required specifications.  It was a time of testing…would the team come together or fall apart in the face of the challenge?  With time running out, the team quickly regrouped and mapped out a plan that would correct their error and move them on to victory.  Success was sweet.  Success in the face of adversity was sweeter still.
